Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide Training programs

Services:
Provides the information and skills that will enable students to provide quality care for residents in nursing homes, for clients at home and patients in hospitals. In addition to the hands on skills such as bathing and bed making, the program focuses on providing concerned individualized care that adheres to the five principles of care: Safety, Privacy, Dignity, Communication and Independence. Students benefit from small classes, with caring, well-trained teachers. They receive hands-on experience as they learn in realistic clinical settings.

Hours:
A combined 4 week (day classes) or 7 week (evening classes) Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide Training Program. The program is 126 hours and includes a CPR for the Professional Rescuer–Health Care Provider training.

Day Session 4 weeks: Monday–Friday from 8:30 am–3:30 pm, Clinical Day hours: 40 Hour Week

 Evening Session 7 weeks: Monday–Thurs from 5:30 pm-9:30 pm, Clinical Day hours: 40 Hour Week

Eligibility:

  1. Must be 16 years of age.
  2. Must attend an orientation and pass the Assessment Exam.
  3. Present a copy of a current negative TB or Chest x-ray.
  4. A physical within the current year with no restrictions to lifting or bending.
  5. Present current photo ID–Drivers License, Passport, or state issued ID card.
  6. A background check must be completed as a pre-condition to participate in the NAT/HHA program.

Payments:
A $625 enrollment fee is required to hold your place in class. Full payment is due 7 days prior to the start of class.
