https://fafsa.ed.gov/

Anyone who wants to receive financial aid from an institution must first fill out the FAFSA. It gives the institution an idea of what your expected contribution should be, based on yours and your family’s income.  The FAFSA is available in several formats, including online, PDF and paper versions. Most people do the online version.

Log on to the website above and create a profile. Remember to write down your pin number, because it will be very important when you try to access your information in the future.

Make sure that you have all the information at hand, before beginning your application. This will make the process much smoother.

Even after submitting your application you will have the opportunity to correct errors.

The earliest you can submit your FAFSA is January 1st, February 15 is ideal and March 1st is the deadline.
