Spectrum Health Systems’’s Prevention of Abuse and Violence through Education (P.A.V.E.) program is a 40-week psycho-educational program designed for men who batter their partners.  The program helps clients recognize violent and controlling behaviors, take responsibility for their actions, and learn non-violent ways to resolve conflict with others.  Clients are required to attend forty 2-hour group sessions.  Intervention may also require referrals to develop a sober and drug free lifestyle, obtain employment training or acquire parenting skills.
