Justice Assistance (JA)

Nonprofit organization (est. 1978) providing programs to assist justice-involved Rhode Islanders. JA offers a unique mix of services to help clients reintegrate and avoid recidivism, including transitional housing for ex-offenders (“Habitat for Justice”), reentry case management and mentoring (e.g. CORES program), offender restitution/financial counseling, and victim services. The agency focuses on empowering individuals to navigate the legal system and rebuild their lives.
